v6 MANAGED SERVICES

Following the migration of v6’s messaging platform to a new data centre and upgrade to Exchange 2007; the next plan was to implement automation and customer control over the internet; introducing “Self Service” to customers of v6. This involved linking customer domains, mailboxes and other exchange attributed a automation system with a web interface with secure customer login that allowed control over mailboxes as well as automated billing etc In conjunction with the Automation element of the project; support was also moved from email-based to application based; again with access over the internet using a hosted instance of Kayako eSuite. This install was done in conjunction with a non-for profit customer who was outsourcing their email to v6’s Managed Exchange Platform from Lotus Notes; and who also moved to Kayako eSupport for their support. In and around this project was branding, skinning and updating of online content of various other relates sites supporting v6 service provisioning.

DEUTSCHE POST DHL

DP DHL's EU Optimisation Program. My Assignment to this Program was subject to a Non-Disclosure Agreement and so there are details that cannot be discussed. However, in summary the role involved a lot of commercial analysis, benefits allocation and "deep dives" into the running of DPDHL's IT business across Europe. DP DHL's Supply / Demand model meant close collaboration between (internal) Customer and Supplier. A challenging business change program to say the least.

Preface

For years I have been troubled immensely about how difficult we makes things for ourselves; and if there is one thing we - as a race (humans, that is!) – Its make things really difficult. I turned my attention to many of these very items by way of “Teaching a Giraffe to DJ!” as a means of setting out how in our personal lives as well as in business, we can make life a lot easier for ourselves and those around us. This is a work-in-progress right now.
